Sponsor a plank - Filling the gaps

Huge thanks to everyone who sponsored a standard plank.

In December 2025, we reached the end of the jetty with sponsored planks.

However, there are a few gaps where we hadn’t put a plaque on, for one reason or another.

These planks are now available to be sponsored so we can fill in the gaps! As at 3 January 2026, there are 13 planks.

Sponsoring a plank involves a donation of $600. We recognise this donation with a name and/or short message on a plaque on a plank on the jetty. We recommend around 40 characters as a good length. The maximum is 5 lines with 4 or 5 words per line.

Make your $600 donation and we will be in touch to ask for your wording and send a tax receipt.

After the 13 planks are sponsored, there will still be some gaps. For example, there are two spare planks in the row that names jetty trustees, so we can add new trustees in the future. There are also 3 spans on the jetty that we’re keeping to add more benches - the bench will make the plaques hard to see.

You might also see stretches with no plaques where the planks are too narrow for a standard plaque. We’re considering making these available for sponsoring in the future, but the plaques (and thus the number of words on them) would have to be a lot smaller.

The sponsor a plank campaign has been a huge success and raised $300,000 over 8 years.
